Will it Be Jared or Jesus?

I know we’ve all heard the commercial “He went to Jared”,  where the guy gives the girl the diamond of all diamonds, and everybody knows he’s went to Jared!  Trust me I’m a girl who love diamonds too (I have a couple:), but it’s not Jared’s birthday we celebrate this season, and although we may not know the real date as some would argue, however we’ve for centuries acknowledged December 25th as the day to acknowledge the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  You can have them both, just know which one comes first!!  Therefore, Christians instead of running up the credit cards, and spending your bill money, and your tithes to give a gift you cant’ afford, seek ye first the Kingdom.  Don’t allow the commercialism in advertisements cause you to lose your focus this season.  If  your friends and family decided to judge the value of your gift based on the price tag of your gift, they probably don’t deserve your gift.   So my advise to us all as we celebrate in this season of giving, choose prayerfully and wisely how you will steward what God has blessed you with.   Don’t allow the gift you give to bless someone else for “one” day be a curse to you all year long!  God really does know your heart and he knows your intent; when both please him, you can smile no matter what others are doing or thinking!

Be Blessed and until next time, be encouraged!
