When You Think...

Hi all, it’s been a minute since I’ve blogged, been a lil busy:) Anywho….today I had a visit from a student (I’m an academic advisor, that’s my other job:)) who had gone from department to department only to get a “No you can’t graduate by August”; when she got to my office, she said, “Mrs. Bryant I pray you can help me, (Kirk Franklin’s “God Will Hold You Now” was playing on my computer, and she was humming along). I could see she had been crying; I told her to relax, she was humming her answer:), however, as I began to evaluate her transcripts, I began to think the same things she’d heard before, but I continued searching under other degrees our college offered and there it was, the answer she’d longed for, “fill out your intent to graduate form, you “CAN” graduate in August”! She and I both were thrilled, she laughed and cried, saying thank you Lord! She said, “I can’t wait to tell my mom, she’s praying for me too.”
See just when you think things are over and there’s no way out, no way through, there’s no way I can’t pass this test, there’s no way I can graduate, there’s no way I’ll ever find a job, there’s no way I’ll get the loan, there’s no way I’ll be healed, Jesus is petitioning the Father on your behalf when you pray. For Jeremiah 29:11 declares I alone says the Lord knows the plans I have for you, plans to proper you and not harm you, to give you hope and a future (an expected end)!! Hallelujah! See it’s not what we think, it what we know! When we begin to think too much we give the enemy room to invade our minds with doubt. Today choose to walk in what you know, not what you think. This is what we know…..We know that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord and called according to his purpose!!
Till next time…be encouraged!! Tammy
