The Lions' Den

The Lions’ Den Daniel 6th Chapter

Doing what is right before God can sometimes get you at trip to the lions’ den. Perfecting the will of God vs. performing the desires of the majority can get you a trip to the lions’ den. Choosing to pray vs. prey can get you a trip to the lions’ den.  When you choose to stand for righteousness, there are those who will look for ways to hold you back, tear you down and even cheer at your downfall. However, just as God lock the jaws of the lions for Daniel he will lock the jaws of those you plot your downfall with false accusations. 

As a child of God one must conduct their life above reproach, having nothing to hide and the enemy will have a difficult time finding legitimate charges against us just as they did with Daniel. In Daniel 6:24 it says, “At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in the thrown into the lions’ den along with their wives and children.  And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.” 

When we choose to be faithful to only true and living God he will rescue us from the hands of the enemy.  The same lions’ den that caused Daniel no harm was the death of those who plotted his downfall!  Psalm 27: 1-2, “The Lord is my light and may salvation whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advanced against me to devour my flesh; when my enemies and my foes attack me they will stumble and fall. Be Encouraged!!
