Hold On Seasons Change!

I have a friend who takes amazing pictures and I’m trying really hard to convince her to showcase them:)  She sent me one last week that led to this blog.  We’ve had some really cold weather here in Tennessee recently and the picture was a tree with the leaves changing colors for the season.

Some leaves were green, some turning a soft yellow/brown and even purple in color and several leaves had a beautiful white frost.  As I stared at the photo, I focused on the many colors in that one tree and began to picture how our lives can easily resemble that tree, we all have areas in our lives that exhibit many colors, some vibrant and some not so vibrant, but as we mature, as we grow in knowledge and wisdom we begin to understand why the colors change and instead of using artificial fertilizer called blame, shame , lies and guilt, we learn to allow nature to run its course.  We learn that the frost, the Winter in our lives cannot remain because the season called Spring has to come, and when Summer arrives and we feel as though we can no long endure the heat of our situations, hold on because Fall is on its way. 

So there you have it…seasons change, your situation will change! I don’t know what season you are in, but trust the God of the universe to see you through, Ecclesiates 3:1 tells us, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven!” There’s a great appreciation in knowing God’s timing is perfect, for he knows, when, where and how……  As 2011 approaches, make a vow to trust him with your seasons, they will change!  Until next time, be encouraged!
