His Promises & My Faith

When we speak of “promises” in both the old and new testament it refers to the specific content or the form of God’s utterances to human beings and what he uttered, he performed. God came to Abram when he was 75yrs.old with a statement and his intentions which led to a promise. Abram didn’t ask for a map, didn’t have a family meeting, didn’t ask if pookie and the rest of the homies could come, he simply obeyed the instructions…Abram responded in faith not knowing where he was going, but believing what God said.
So often we miss the promise/blessing being nosy (needing all the details) and trying to be self sufficient. Paul points out in Romans 4 and Galatians 3 that human efforts/works cannot commend a person to God. Simply put, our efforts/works do not motivate/move God to act i.e, (tithing) tithing does not motivate God to open the windows of heaven, your obedience, faith and trust in God’s provision is what motivates him to open up the windows of heaven and pour you out blessing you won’t have room to receive.
Today, I’m encouraging myself and I hope you jump on board. I’ve had a trying couple of weeks, but this morning I was reminded in the word of God, that “THE LORD IS”, not was, not will be, but IS my shepherd and I shall not want! I was reminded of the “Corinthian Song” (Kathy Taylor’s version) I’m a vessel full of Holy Ghost power, there’s a treasure in me from the Lord, so I thank you Jesus for your promises, they are still yea and Amen!! Saints of God, don’t give up and don’t give in…just tap into that Holy Ghost power that’s within, it will keep you from falling prey to the spirit of depression, doubt and delusion! Keep that “Now Faith” employed and Be Encouraged!
